What work have you done so far that people may recognize you from?
I have worked with wounded warriors and I have done a couple projects with Citron Energy Drink. I have also worked with numerous makeup artist and photographers for their portfolios. I just finished a music video and may be starring in another music video in the near future.
Do you work with a specific photographer or how do you do about shooting with a particular photographer?
I do have favorites, but I am open to working with other photographers depending on their work and experience. I like working with professionals and I like it even more when it shows in the picture.
I read a very interesting comment you made about stepping out to be a more rounded model; what did you mean by that?
Most of the models in Lancaster are all about “glamour shoots” and being sexy. I love feeling beautiful, but I can feel just as beautiful while doing a high fashion shoot as I do when I’m doing a glamour shoot. I believe that in order to be a good model all you need is confidence because that’s what really shows in a picture.
What would you say is your primary goal in the modeling world and how do you plan to reach that goal?
My primary goal is to eventually step out of the modeling world and onto the big screen. I enjoy modeling and the experience is amazing, but it’s not what I want to do as my career. Until I make it to where I want to be I’m just going to keep on climbing the ladder in the modeling world, going to new places and impressing new faces. But keep an eye out for me in a theater, that’s when you’ll know I finally reached my goal!
How often do you tip toe through the custom auto scene?
I have only worked in a few shows, but then again I have only been modeling for a short period of time. I’m not really into modeling at the shows because walking around for hours in a skimpy outfit really isn’t my thing. But I do enjoy going to the shows and seeing everyone’s “art work”. I love when people have hobbies and they’re proud to show it off.
What has been your worst or most embarrassing experience so far?
The worst experience I have had so far was last spring. I went to NYC to meet an agency and it ended up being a man and “his crew” who worked out of his basement. Everyone seemed pretty nice but when it came to getting my measurements things went downhill. I am never comfortable with anyone seeing my private parts, especially a random man who doesn’t come off as very professional. He asked me to take off my shirt to measure my chest and when I asked for a female to do it he ignored the question and continued asking me to get my measurements. I was never so uncomfortable in my life. Once we left, we all agreed to never look back at that place again.
On the flip side what has be your highlight of your career thus far?
Well, I have to say the biggest highlight was after my first shoot. I have always wanted to be an actress and modeling always interested me but during high school I figured that I would just go to college and have a career in law. Then the summer after I graduated came and I began dating this guy. His ex-girlfriend (who of course was a model) always tried to get under my skin by calling me ugly, deranged, and all kinds of rude things. I guess it did kind of get to me after a while, so I decided to give modeling a try for myself. Turns out it was the best move of my life. I have never been closer to my dream, so I guess this is me thanking her.
What doors are opening for you during the 2012 season, and where will people most likely get to meet and greet with you?
Well of course there is the Ms. Motorama pageant that I will be competing in this February. I have also been talking with some people about being part of a possible reality TV show and some upcoming music videos. I’m not really sure what 2012 has in store for me, but I am definitely excited to find out. Maybe my big break is closer then I think!
